Artability aims at opening up, improving and providing access to the arts for Learning Disabled Adults resident in Epping Forest. The programme has termly sessions offering different experiences and activities within the arts.
The project includes art workshops, trips to galleries and museums, and even a sing-along choir to join.
This service is available to anyone over the age of 18 resident in Epping Forest who has a Learning Disability.
The trips that we arrange take individuals into both the city and the countryside, visiting venues from the Tate Modern and Science Museum to the Henry Moore Foundation in Much Hadham. Taking individuals out and about, we are able to encourage them to explore the arts whilst enjoying an active, fun day out.

We organise a range of one off and sessional workshops that explore many areas of art often working with professional artists. Within the workshops we seek to provide individuals with an enjoyable, creative experience in an environment where they can learn new skills and develop their interest in the arts.
For those that enjoy singing, we hold a choir for all on the first Friday of each month, covering Christmas carols (seasonal dependence) and songs from old time classics. We welcome anyone who wants to join in and take part. The choir is held at Parsonage court, Loughton from 4 – 6pm on a Friday afternoon.
If you are interested in the art project and becoming involved in the workshops or joining us on one of our trips then please contact Roz Howling at Voluntary Action Epping Forest for further information.
