Who can use Volunteers Plus?

Everyone who wants to volunteer but needs some extra support to get started. This can include anyone with:

• experience of mental health problems
• learning disabilities
• experience of substance misuse
• a physical disability
• low confidence or self-esteem.

What does Volunteers Plus provide?

• A confidential service for people who want to volunteer.
• Time to discuss your interests and experiences and how you can use them in your volunteering.
• The Volunteers Plus Co-ordinator to accompany you to visit the possible volunteering opportunities.
• Training for volunteers.
• Ongoing support for volunteers with any questions or problems concerning their volunteering.

Talk & Sort

Volunteers Plus runs its own social volunteering opportunity for volunteers of all abilities, called 'Talk & Sort'. We meet on the first Monday of every month from 2-4pm to help charities by sorting and stuffing their fundraising and membership mailings. This is a chance to volunteer while having a chat at the same time.
